KEYSVILLE, August 29 — Mary Lee (Delany) Bray, 50, of Keysville, passed away Monday August 26, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Hampton to William and Charlotte Delany on July 22, 1963.

She was raised in Hampton and attended Bethel High School, class of 82. Mrs. Bray went to Chowan University and then to VCU where she met her husband Rory Bray. They were wed in 1987. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed arts and crafts, auctions, and her grandchildren. She attended New Life Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Bray is survived by her husband, Rory Bray; son, Justin Bray; daughter, Jessica Raper; son-in-law, James Raper; and two grandsons, Jayden and Noah Raper all of Keysville; aunt and uncle Bob and Hazel Jones of Canton NC; mother and father-in-law, Don and Brenda Bray of Powhatan; numerous nieces and nephews, three sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 30 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of New Life Assembly of God Church with a reception to follow at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
