Leslie Haden Christian, 83

CHESTER, July 2 – Leslie Haden Christian, 83, of Chester, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born December 13, 1929 in Buckingham County, the son of Henry Leslie and Bernice (Duncan) Christian.

He worked as an electrical engineer and retired in 1990. He was also a jack-of-all-trades and could fix just about anything. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee.

Mr. Christian is survived by his wife, Pauline (Polly) Harris Christian; sons, Terris Christian of Chester and Jason Christian (Debbie) of Blacksburg; and three grandchildren, Catherine, Rachel, and Matthew. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Joyce Thomas Christian.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Richmond, with interment at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, Dillwyn.

Donations can be given to Bethlehem Baptist Church.
