High Bridge Trail State Park will hold a fun bike ride with AmeriCorps volunteers Caitlin Sylvester and Waverly Garner to explore the natural and historical wonders of the trail on July 13 at 9 a.m. Meet at the Farmville Main Office Street access near the bathroom facilities and bike out to High Bridge and back. The round trip is about 10 miles.

Please bring plenty of drinking water. Along the way there are some interesting historical sites like the place where General Smyth was killed during the last days of the American Civil War and some natural resources of the park which include a plethora of native flora and fauna. Helmets are not required but are suggested.
