Twin Lakes Announces Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following weekend events:
Friday, June 28, 2 p.m. “Shutter Bug Nature Hike” – learn the basics of nature photography and take a hike around one of the trails to see summer shine through your camera lens (bring your own camera); 6 p.m. “Family Game Night” – board games, card games, puzzles, and more; 8 p.m. Make New Friends Campfire” – make new friends at the park, sing songs, hear stories and enjoy s'mores;
Saturday, June 29, 2 p.m. “Canoeing 101” – learn the in's and out's of canoeing and enjoy a good time on the lake; fee for the program is $5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+; 8:30 p.m. “Owl Prowl” – an owl call on Prince Edward Lake, meet in the Concession Stand parking area and take a short night hike to the calling location.
Mark your calendars and join Twin Lakes State Park in a weeklong Independence Day celebration including Tie Dying, hotdog eating contest, Pie-a-Park-Employee, and educational visits from the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, storyteller Francis Wood, and more.
