The Harvest Kitchen (soup kitchen) will be opening Wednesday, June 26. This is an outreach offered through Farmville Church of Christ. The kitchen will provide “Lunch with Jesus” for neighbors that are in need every Wednesday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. These participants will be provided with one meal per week and will be asked to donate one hour of time in order to receive their second meal.

The program will provide individuals the opportunity to learn how food is raised and harvested. The outreach believes, “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”

Churches are welcome join in feeding our neighbors. Tax deductible donations are welcome. The Harvest Kitchen is located at 1503 Millwood Road, Farmville, formerly the “Putt-Putt” property located on the hill across from Food Lion.
