March 7 – Happy Birthday wishes to go out to Mae Rutherford, of Cumberland, Margy Smith, of Farmville, Berta Chil-dress, of Phenix, and Annie Mae Wharam, of New Canton, all celebrating on Saturday, March 9, and Elaine Myers, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Tuesday, March 12.

Sympathy is extended to the Bowman family of Burkeville. Corbett Bowman, 87, of Burkeville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 2. A funeral service was held on March 5 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Rice. He will be greatly missed by all.

Congratulations to Paul and Frances Asal of Farmville. The couple will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary on Friday, March 8.

Maranatha Baptist Church located on Tuggle Road in Farmville, will hold Annual Revival services Sunday, March 17 through Wednesday, March 20.

John Shelley from The Rock of Ages Ministries of Stuart will be the guest speaker on Sunday, March 17, services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with special music from The Old Time Gospel Singers of Crewe.

Following this will be morning worship service at 11 a.m. and more special music by the Old Time Gospel Singers. Lunch will also be served in the church fellowship hall after the morning service. The closing service of the day will be at 6 p.m. with special music by Rhonda Arnold, Michelle Grimsley and Melissa Kuegler, all of Prospect.

Services Monday, March 18 through Wednesday, March 20 will begin at 7 p.m. nightly.

Special music will include: Monday, March 18, Pianist Cody Moss, from the First Baptist Church in Dillwyn; Tuesday, March 19, a special surprise treat; and Wednesday, The Oak Hill Mennonite Quartet of Cumberland. Pastor Steve Conwell and the congregation cordially invites all to attend.
