Mr. and Mrs. O. Bret Peaden, of Keysville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucy Hart, to Michael Dean Taylor, son of Dr. and Mrs. David Taylor of Lapeer, MI.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Merl M. Moore, of Falls Church, and the late Col. Merl M. Moore, USA Ret., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bart Peaden, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL. Miss Peaden is a 2003 graduate of Randolph-Henry High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina. She is employed as staff assistant for development at Duke University Chapel in Durham, NC.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Elwyn Gafner of Britton, MI, the late Mrs. Elwyn Gafner, and Mr. and Mrs. Theron Taylor of Englewood, FL. Mr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Ferris State University and will graduate from Pfeiffer University in August with a Master of Business Administration. He is employed as a financial analyst at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Durham, NC.

The wedding is planned for May 4.
