CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APEALS

The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204 to consider the following item and taking action in furtherance thereof:

BZA 13-02: Carl M. Thompson requests a variance from the requirements of Section 74-135 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance regarding the two acre minimum lot area and two acre minimum gross residential density with respect to 3.48 acres of Tax Map 90, Section A, Parcel 45. The affected property is zoned A-2, Agricultural. The applicant requests the minimum lot size be varied to allow for the subdivision of a 3.48 acre parcel into two lots of one acre, each containing one dwelling, and one lot of 1.48 acres. The affected property has a physical address of 12 and 18 Lula Lane, Farmville, VA 23901 and is located northwest of the intersection of John Randolph Road (Route 638) and Lula Lane in election district 4.

Copies of the above requests are available for review at the Cumberland County Planning Department between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm M-F. The public is invited to attend these hearings at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
