February 14 – Happy Birthday wishes go out to Ashley Baird, of Buckingham, celebrating on Friday, February 15; Sherry Scott, of Cumberland, celebrating on Sunday, February 17; and Wayne Lipscomb, of Cumberland, celebrating on Tuesday, Feb-ruary 19.
Bradley Carter, of North Carolina, visited in the home of his sister, Ann Carter, in Dillwyn over the weekend.

Brown Chapel United Methodist Church, located off of U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 617 (Gravel Hill Road), will host a benefit Gospel Sing on Sunday, February 24 at 3 p.m. Featured will be The Bell Choir from St. Mark Church of Richmond. A love offering will be received. Funds resulting from this event will go toward the new church sign. Everyone is welcome to attend. For further information phone 434-983-2269.
Spreading God's Gifts Inc. will host a non-denominational worship service on Thursday evening, February 28, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall, in Buckingham. Everyone is cordially invited to join in for special music, testimony and a message from God's Holy Word. A donation box will be available. These monies will be used to further the ministry and help others in their hour of need. Refreshments will follow and will include coffee and cookies. Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church cordially invites all to attend worship services each third Tuesday of the month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Dillwyn.
