The Town of Farmville Tree Board recently met with Mayor Sydnor Newman to officially declare Farmville's 2013 Arbor Day as Saturday, March 23. The town will give away tree seedlings that day at the Farmville Walmart from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is jointly sponsored by Town of Farmville, Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners, and the local Virginia Department of Forestry.
