JETERSVILLE, February 14 – David Curtis Hamlett Sr., 66, of Jetersville, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his home. He was born November 13, 1946 in Amelia, the son of the late Clyde and Margaret Newcomb Hamlett. He was retired as a Head Fixer with Phillip Morris after 32 years of service.

Survivors include three sons, Jonathan Hamlett of Midlothian, Chris Hamlett of Henrico, and David Curtis Hamlett Jr. of Glendale, CA; two daughters, Sherri Tinsley of Powhatan and Sarah Ellis of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Edward Hamlett (Doris) of Chesterfield; sister, Doris Pullen (Ken) of Fredericksburg and seven grandchildren, Savannah Hamlett, Jonathan Hamlett Jr., Sophia Hamlett, Michaelae Palmore, Nicholas Palmore, Chrisentan Ellis and Bree Booker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Hamlett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 15 in Bethel United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home.
