CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204 to consider the following item and taking action in furtherance thereof:3

BZA 13-01: Rose M. McClinton requests a variance from the requirements of Section 74-135 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance regarding the two acre minimum lot area and two acre minimum gross residential density with respect to 2.12 acres of Tax Map 17, Section A, Parcel 24. The affected property is zoned A-2, Agricultural. The applicant requests the minimum lot size be varied to allow for the subdivision of a 2.12 acre parcel that is split by a state road. She requests the replacement of a dwelling on a 0.926 acre portion of the property. The affected property has a physical address of 47 Columbia Road, Cartersville VA 23027 and is located west of the intersection of Cartersville Road (Route 45) and Columbia Road (Route 690) in election district 1.

Copies of the above requests are available for review at the Cumberland County Planning Department between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm M-F. The public is invited to attend these hearings at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
