Arthur DeWitt Davidson

FEBRUARY 7 – Arthur DeWitt Davidson passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born on August 16, 1942 to Oliver Thomas Davidson and Bertha Preston Davidson in Campbell County. Mr. Davidson was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Prospect.

He met and married Dolly Yvonne Saunders, formerly of Prospect, and to this union three children were born: Glenwood Davidson and Oliver D. Davidson, both of Patterson, New Jersey and Deborah A. Davidson of Newport News. He also had two sons prior to this union, Toney L. Jordan of Farmville and Leroy G. Jordan of Prospect.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Raymond Davidson and Richard Davidson, both of Baltimore, Maryland, and Robert Davidson of Farmville; sisters, Lovina Bristol, Shirley Carpenter and Gloria Brooks, all of Baltimore, Maryland; six grandchildren, a great-grandson, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, February 2 in the Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Wyatt Vaughan, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church.

Wilson Funeral Home, Keysville, served the family.
