Waterworks Players will be presenting “Rumpelskilskin” this Friday at then on Saturday there will be two shows and finally on Sunday afternoon. Come to a show and enjoy yourself.

Please come out and vote on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The election is to elect a treasurer for Prince Edward County.

Howard “Pete” Campbell thanks all those who came out on Monday night to the Community Meeting to meet the candidates for treasurer plus other members of government. There was a very good turnout.

The members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle held their Christmas Family Dinner Dec. 2 in the Fellowship Hall.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Mrs. Edna Woodson Nov. 29 at Trinity Missions; also visiting Mrs. Woodson was her husband William.

The Fulcher family held their annual Christmas gathering Dec. 2 at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church at Prospect. A good time was had by all.

Sean Stockton spent last Friday, Friday night and Saturday with his grandparents, Richard and Margaret Stockton. Sean and his Paw had a good time decorating the tree by the side of the road. Sean is hoping everyone will enjoy the tree.

Saturday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Don Meadows attended the “Chili Cook-off” at the Farmville United Methodist Church after which they enjoyed the Christmas program “Misfit Christmas” at New Life. On Sunday afternoon the Meadows enjoyed the Jaycees Christmas Parade in Farmville.

Peggy Kelsey and other family members attended the Hampden-Sydney vs. Piedmont College basketball game on Saturday. Hampden-Sydney did not disappoint their fans, coming away as the winners.

Neighbors, family and friends are praying for a speedy recovery for those that are sick at this time; Peggy Kelsey, Shirley Martin, Bobbie Leatherwood, Roger Scruggs is improving, Shirley Fulcher, Elizabeth “Betsy” Mason, Bonnie Oswald, Ray George, Pat Kellum and Wanda Whitus.

Friends and neighbors are extending their sincere sympathy to the families of: Mr. William Metcalf, Kelly “Jo Jo” Helms and Janie Glass.

Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church invites you to their Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will be in the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. Richard “Dick” Lash will bring the message on Sunday.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
