Editor, The Herald:

With the recent federal elections, we have elected President Obama, Senator Tim Kaine, and our Congressional candidate. At the local level, we need people who are able to work with and create jobs, a better school system, and opportunities for all. In our community, we have learned the lessons from the past and that we have to work for all in our community. I feel that we have made progress with room for improvement in Prince Edward County. That's why I am endorsing Taikein Cooper for Treasurer of Prince Edward County. I might not vote in your county, but I have strong family ties to Prince Edward County.

My mother was raised there and I have numerous family members that live there. That's why family and friends, I am calling on you and the community, to help elect Taikein Cooper for Treasurer, based on the fact that he will do a fine job for the citizens of Prince Edward County. No one has experience before they get the job, but must be given an opportunity to serve. I feel Taikein will serve all of Prince Edward County. I also feel that you and I, in unity, create communities that give opportunities to all.
