Charles Hugh Carneal, 69

CUMBERLAND, December 11 – Charles Hugh Carneal, 69, of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 in Richmond. He was born October 29, 1943 in Caroline County to the late Allie Edwin and Elton Roseville Carter Carneal. Mr. Carneal served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He worked as a car salesman and was the owner of Carneal Motors. He most recently worked as a salesman at Plaza Motors in Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Miles Carneal; children, Christopher and Amanda Carneal, Timmy Greve (Brenda), Sandi Robinson (Michael), David G. Landess II (Leslie) and Christopher D. Taylor (Emily); brother, Edwin Carneal; sisters, Bertie Kain, Frances Williams and Ruby Bullock; 13 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter and many extended family as well as his church family. He was also loved very much by Mom Shirley and Papa John. He was preceded in death by a brother, Horace W. Carneal and his wife, Alice B. Carneal.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 11 at New Life Assembly of God with interment in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in South Hill.
