Shooting Suspect Charged

PRINCE EDWARD – On November 23 at approximately 11 p.m., according to a press release from the Prince Edward Sheriff's Department, the Sheriff's Department received a call at the New Fever's Restaurant and Lounge that one of the security guards had been shot. Deputies, the release states, arrived on the scene shortly after the initial call. After securing the scene, deputies began an investigation into the events leading up to the shooting.
The victim, the release states, was taken to Centra Southside Community Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. With the help of the Buckingham County Sheriff's Office, the release cites, the shooter was identified as a 23-year-old Buckingham County man. According to the release, he has been charged with four felony and two misdemeanor charges and is being held in Piedmont Regional jail with no bond.
