Charles Edward Allen, 63

DILLWYN, November 27 – Charles Edward Allen, 63, of Dillwyn, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2012 in Farmville. He was the husband of the late Edna Ann Yeatts Allen. Born in Salisbury, MD, September 8, 1949, he was the son of the late Jack Webb and Myrtle Bowen Allen.

Mr. Allen was self-employed in retail and trucking businesses until his retirement. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are three children, Charity Manis (Carl), Rene Carwile and Charlie Allen (Jennifer) all of Dillwyn and five grandchildren, Cyndi Carwile, Devin Allen, Jackson Allen, Javannah Taylor and Maurice Taylor.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 27 in Concord Baptist Church, Buckingham County, with interment in the church cemetery.
