A Rash Of Burglaries In PE

PRINCE EDWARD – Sheriff Wesley W. Reed is alerting residents, and seeking information, regarding a rash of 11 reported burglaries since the middle of September.
“These matters are still under investigation,” Sheriff Reed said in a press release, “and if you have any information on these or other crimes please feel free to contact the Prince Edward County Sheriff's office at 434-392-8101.”
The sheriff's statement details 11 burglaries:
September 12, a daytime residential burglary, with subjects breaking into a home in the 9000 block of Darlington Heights Road in Hampden-Sydney, stealing a large amount of jewelry.
September 14, a home in the 200 block of Rosser Mill Road in Pamplin was burglarized, with one firearm and several knives stolen.
September 29, a residential burglary occurred in the 9000 block of Harris Creek Road in Prospect and jewelry was stolen.
September 30, a residential burglary in the 2000 block of Harris Creek Road in Prospect saw a PlayStation 2 and several other games stolen.
October 3, a residential burglary took place in the 1000 block of Douglas Church Road in Abilene and firearms, three televisions, a laptop and jewelry were taken.
October 6, a residential burglary on Heights School Road in Darlington Heights saw a television stolen.
October 13, a residential burglary in the 4000 block of Prince Edward Highway in Prospect resulted in power tools stolen; those items, the sheriff reports, were recovered and an arrest was made.
October 23, a vacant home in Green Bay was reported broken into, with a washer, dryer, stove and copper pipes stolen.
October 25, a residential burglary in the 7000 block of Green Bay Road in Rice occurred and firearms, jewelry and money were stolen.
November 4, the 460 Service Center in Rice was broken into and thieves attempted to steal money and State Inspection stickers.
November 5, a burglary occurred in the daytime in the 600 block of Quail Crossing Road in Burkeville and numerous firearms were stolen.
