Bids on the referenced project will be received by the Assistant County Administrator in the Buckingham County Administration Building until 2:00 PM, local prevailing time, on Friday, October 26, 2012 and then publicly opened. Bids may be withdrawn in accordance with the Code of Virginia Section 11-54(A) Procedure (ii). The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder in accordance with the Bid Form and determined to be in the best interest of the Owner.
The project consists of: Demolition of existing concrete asphalt, concrete sidewalk and curb, construction of new concrete sidewalk, new curb & gutter, storm drainage improvements, asphalt pavement repair, and miscellaneous work.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Buckingham County Administration Building, 13360 W. James Anderson Hwy, Buckingham, VA 23921.
Bid documents in PDF format on a compact disk (CD) may be obtained from WW Associates, Inc., P.O. Box 4119, Lynchburg, VA 24502 upon receipt of a nonrefundable payment of $50.00 for each CD. Faxed checks are not acceptable. Bidder must include complete street address with zip code for use by express delivery agencies, and complete mailing address with zip code to avoid delay in receiving transmittals. Bidder must include telephone and fax numbers with area code, and e-mail address.
Bid Security: Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the base bid. Bidders must be licensed as contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended. This project is federally funded and has Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Requirements.
