Twin Lakes Announces Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following events:
Friday, Sept. 7, 6 p.m. “Family Game Night” – board games, card games, puzzles and more; 8 p.m., “Make New Friends Campfire” – make new friends, sing songs, hear stories, and enjoy s'mores;
Saturday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m. “Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy” – cast an imaginary line and catch some fun facts about local fish; 11 a.m. – “Geocaching 10” – $3 per person, $8 per family; 2 p.m., “Story Hike” – combine a love of reading with the great outdoors; 3 p.m., “Buggin' Out” – bug around the park and learn about some crazy critters; 9 p.m. “Owl Prowl;”
Sunday, Sept. 9, 11 a.m., “Canoeing 101” ($5 per person, $4 per person for groups of 4+) meet at Goodwin Boat Ramp; 2 p.m., “Creature Feature” learn about one of our park's many amazing creatures;
On Sept. 11, the National Day of Service will be in honor of 9/11. Twin Lakes will be collecting canned goods to donate to local food-banks and homeless shelters.
On Sept. 22 Junior Ranger Day will offer an all day kids' program with life lessons and outdoors skills; ages five-12; $10 per child; spaces limited, call the main office to register.
