Mrs. Deaconess Lulma Palmer, of Prince Edward County, recently celebrated her 100th birthday at a dinner with her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Eanes, family, visitors, and friends at the Crewe Fire Department in Crewe. Mrs. Palmer has 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who came from far and near – New York, Maryland, North Carolina, and Hamilton in Virginia. “May God bless her on this 100th birthday,” a family member said. About 150 were expected to attend the dinner on July 28.
