Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Steve Morris and Grace Martin, both of Dillwyn, celebrating on Friday, July 13; Marie Conwell, of Farmville, celebrating on Saturday, July 14; and Helen Connell, of Dillwyn celebrating on Wednesday, July 18.
On Friday, July 6, Elizabeth Cook and daughters Tina and Holly, all from Midlothian, along with Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, enjoyed an afternoon of dinner and fellowship at a Farmville restaurant.
Earlene Baker, of Richmond, spoke to Barry Miles of Cumberland on Sunday afternoon and extended her thanks to family in Farmville, Cumberland and in many other localities for their continued thoughts and prayers.
Belated Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to Jane Grey, of Cumberland, and Florence Miles, of Rice, who celebrated on Thursday, July 12.

Cedar Baptist Church, located just off of U.S. Rt. 15 North of Dillwyn on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Road) hosts a Men's Promise Keepers Prayer Breakfast Sunday mornings (excluding fifth Sundays) from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, located on Main Street in Dillwyn. All members are cordially invited to attend and bring a covered dish. Tea will be provided by the association. The guest speaker for the month is Henry Fulcher of radio station WFLO. The Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church Thrift Store located on U.S. Route 15 North of Dillwyn in Arvonia is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All proceeds from the thrift store are used to help individuals and families in their hour of need.
