The Prince Edward Basketball Program held its first-annual basketball camp this past week. Co-camp director John Pruitt stresses that community and youth involvement are key to building the program. “If you want to continually have success in your sports programs, you have to have strong youth development and community support. I was very blessed to be a part of some great basketball camps in the past and I wanted Prince Edward to experience that and the effects that it has on the program. Coach [James] Scott and I are very passionate about giving back and want to elevate our program to the next level. We really feel the campers this week had a great experience. They got the opportunity to win some great prizes, build their fundamentals, and be a part of a family atmosphere. We hope to make this a yearly tradition that will gain momentum to grow and have continual success in the future.”
