Robert E. Menteer, 83

GREEN BAY, April 12 – Robert E. Menteer, 83, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Blackstone. He was born in Nebraska, PA, on May 7, 1928 to the late Robert Elias and Marguerite Catlin Menteer. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran having served 21 years including deployment during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vivian V. Menteer of Green Bay; daughter, Marguerite Feith of Lincoln, NE; three sons, Robert Menteer II of Clayton, NC, Charles Menteer of Keysville and Steven Menteer of Arizona; brother, Theodore Menteer of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Donna Vandervort of Rochester, NY and Leona Lank of Warren, PA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Lillian Catlin of Tionesta, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Menteer and a brother, Harvey Menteer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Meherrin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
