Registration For 4H Day Camps Now Underway

Prince Edward 4-H is now accepting registrations for several summer camp programs.

“Between the Pages” is a day camp for young book lovers scheduled for June 4-8. This day camp will meet from 10 a.m. – noon each day at the Prince Edward Extension Office. Games, snacks, crafts, and other activities will center around the day's story. This program is for youth who have completed Pre-K through first grade. Cost is $15 to cover snacks and supplies. Space is limited to 15 participants.

Clover bud Summer Experience is scheduled for July 9-11. This day camp is for youth ages five-eight. It will be held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day and is based out of the Prince Edward Extension Office. The program includes daily field trips, games, crafts, and other activities designed to introduce youth to the various 4-H program arras. Cost is $50 to cover supplies, field trips, transportation, and a t-shirt. Space is limited to 25 participants.

Two youth canning workshops are also scheduled in conjunction with Buckingham 4-H. A strawberry jam workshop will be held at the Prince Edward Extension Office on May 10 from 4-7 p.m. A salsa workshop will be held at the Buckingham Extension Office on July 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Both canning workshops are for youth ages nine-13. Cost for each workshop is $10 to cover materials and supplies.
