Ceremony Held

The marriage of Miss Joni Amanda Massie, of Dillwyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Edward Massie, of Dillwyn, to Grady Neal Cox, of Chase City, son of Ms. Joyce Reams Cox, of South Hill, and Mr. Jimmie Neal Cox, of La Crosse, took place on Saturday, December 3, at the Together Forever Wedding Chapel in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

The Reverend Harold Mitchell officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Martin, of Dillwyn, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis Rosen and Mr. Stockton Terry Massie, of Dillwyn. The groom is the grandson of Ms. Mildred Cox and the late Mr. Jimmie Cox, of South Hill, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Mack Reams, of Boydton.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Mrs. Laura Richmond Moss, of Cumberland, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Rebecca Frazer Martin, aunt of the bride, of Dillwyn; Miss Jamine Proffitt, of Arlington, and Mrs. Jaimee Lewis Elliott, of South Hill.

Mr. Cox served as his son's best man. Stockton Ray Massie, brother of the bride, of Dillwyn, Andrew Cox, brother of the groom, of South Hill; and Tony Martin, uncle of the bride, of Dillwyn; were groomsmen.

Mrs. Karen Dunkum, of Dillwyn and Mrs. Erin Jenkins, of Alexandria, served as mistresses of ceremonies.

The wedding reception included a seated dinner at The Original Benjamin's Calabash in Myrtle Beach, SC.

After the honeymoon in Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC, the couple returned to their home where they reside in Chase City.
