DILLWYN, Feb. 14 – Lewis Walker Oliver, 69, of Dillwyn, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home. He was born September 29, 1942 in Buckingham County, the son of the late Murray Lee and Janie Thomas Oliver. He was a retired ironworker and an avid hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lewis Oliver; daughter, Stephanie L. Oliver and a son, Lee Oliver, all of Dillwyn; three sisters, Arlene Franck of Gloucester, Ann Dunn of New Canton and Dottie Shumaker of Dillwyn; brother, Carroll Lee Oliver of Dillwyn; two grandchildren, Jenna Grace Oliver and Wyatt Lee Oliver, and one of his special friends, Wilson Taylor. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy O. LeSueur.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, February 14 at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in Browns Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
