JANUARY 10 – Wilbur France Burger, M.D. “the fight is over but the battle is won!” Dr. Burger passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 31, 1937 and will be highly missed by all that knew him. He was a beautiful, caring man that touched everyone he came in contact with.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 12 for family and friends at Westview Cemetery in Farmville where he will be laid to rest with his much loved son, Scott Jarrett Burger and his parents, Annie Maude Dowdy Burger and William Marshal Burger.

Following the graveside service in Farmville, there will be a service to celebrate his life at First Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg at 2 p.m. on the same day. The immediate family will receive friends and family after the service in the fellowship hall at First Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg.
