James Jared “Jimmy” Huddleston, 91

JANUARY 19 – James Jared “Jimmy” Huddleston, 91, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his home. He was the son of the late Thomas R. and Mildred Simmons Huddleston and was an employee of Ayers Building Sup-ply. He was also a member of Gideon International and a life-long member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Huddleston is survived by his wife, Louise Coates Huddleston; son, Lawrence R. Huddleston (Janice); daughter, Linda H. Librandi (Ray) all of Farmville; three sisters, Louvinnia Corr, Hazel Olson and Helen Price; brother, Thomas A. Huddleston; five grandchildren, Janet Petticord, Donald “Donnie” Bales, Becky Ward, Carol Bales, and Thomas “Cody” Huddleston; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Shoemaker Huddle-ston, daughter, Dorothy Bales, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
