FLORIDA, Jan. 26 – Ida Beach Cobb South, 93, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 in Florida. She was born July 27, 1918 to the late John Beach and Virginia Etta Berkley Cobb. She was the wife of the late Paul South.

Mrs. South enjoyed sewing, cooking, and serving at Clearview Baptist Church where she and Paul were long-time active members.

She is survived by a son, William South and wife, Cinda; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Berlie and Berkley Cobb; and sister, Phyllis Atkins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Melvin Cobb, and a sister, Bea Hartig.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 28, at 11 a.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
