Tripp Martin, son of Marshall “Skipper” and Laura Martin, of Cartersville, presented a $20,000 donation to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on December 23 in honor of his team, “Trippy's Troops.” Tripp was diagnosed with Type I diabe-tes when he was 14 months old. Type I diabetes is a disease which suddenly strikes both children and adults and requires ei-ther multiple injections or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump. This donation helps JDRF get closer to a cure, ensuring a better future for those living with diabetes.
