Weaver Write-In For School Board

CUMBERLAND – Kathy Weaver has announced that she is seeking election as a write-in for the Fourth District seat to the Cumberland County School Board, according to a provided press release.
Weaver is married and has three children and five grandchildren of which she is very dedicated, states the release.
Weaver notes in the release that prior to moving from New Jersey in 1996, she was employed by the State of New Jersey in the Department of Human Services for over 10 years and recently retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections as a Correction Officer.
She is currently, states the release, “participating in the 21st Century After School Enrichment Program at Cumberland High School” in the subject of cosmetology.
Her mission, according to the release, is to “continue to move the Cumberland County Schools forward and keep up with the changing times and challenges.
“Our children are the future. We can, as a team, make a difference.”
