A Farmville Visit

Shad Ireland, the first dialysis patient to compete in and complete an Ironman Triathlon competition, visited with patients at Fresenius Medical Care Farmville, a dialysis facility at 1801 E. Third Street, on Oct. 7. Shad is a Fresenius Medical Care home dialysis patient and national spokesman. He travels the country speaking at events to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease and kidney failure while encouraging chronically ill people to take a positive, proactive approach to their challenges and achieve their goals.
