Due to the wet field conditions that moved across the area, Fuqua School's road contest at Hampton Roads Academy was postponed Friday afternoon as the Falcons were en route to Newport News.

The Fuqua team bus was in Richmond when coaches received the call on the change in the game's status.

The game was not rescheduled for Saturday or Monday, and as of press time on Tuesday morning, there has been no decision on whether the game will be made up.

“We'd like to play,” said Fuqua School head coach Lewis “Skeeter” Fore. “We're not sure why we weren't able to make it up. Right now, we don't know what we'll end up doing. Point-wise, with Hampton Roads Academy being a Division III school, it would really help us if we could play the game and were to win.”

Fuqua (3-0, 2-0 VCC) will host Isle of Wight Academy (2-1, 1-0 VCC) on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. It will be the annual Prince Edward Academy/Fuqua School Hall of Fame Night at Gilmer Field.
