Store's Cumberland Location Questioned

Editor, The Herald:
A new, larger and improved Dollar General in Cumberland County is very exciting and beneficial to our community. The location they have chosen is inappropriate and unsafe, in my opinion.
Dollar General and Stop In have a high volume of vehicular traffic for shopping, delivery traffic, plus general traffic in this area of Route 60 is very intense.
We have a high incidence of accidents at other stores on Route 60.
Cumberland County should consider the possible need to install a traffic light or widening Route 60 at this location in the future.
Dollar General would be wise to explore options further West on Route 60, where we have a four-lane highway and no historic district guidelines.
