Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Ray Kelsey at Holly Manor last Thursday.

On Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Don (Betty) Meadows traveled to Richmond for a day of shopping and visiting with their doctors.

Monday afternoon the Prospect Happy Hats had their February outing at Lib's Place in Rice where they received instructions in beading, each making a bracelet. Afterwards they enjoyed dessert at Merk's Place. Betty Meadows was hostess; she was joined by Pat Smith, Joyce Floyd, Edith Vaughan, Jeannette Tarlton, Lorraine Chapman, Margaret Stockton and guest Lois Gager.

Mrs. Flora Bolt visited J.B. Towler at the Moore Center on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. John (Shirley) Fulcher attended the birthday party for their granddaughter, Katie at the Mexican Restaurant last Saturday night.

Mrs. Jeff Smith had lunch with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Keaveny on Friday, February 18 in Buckingham.

Phil Kelsey, of Rancho Cuca Monga, CA, and Karen Aimesbury, of Dover, NH, have returned home following their visit with their father, Ray Kelsey. They were able to visit with Ray and Peggy for about a week.

Mrs. Peggy Kelsey and Debra Sue Shumaker attended the Hampden-Sydney and Emory Henry basketball game with Hampden-Sydney coming out on top. This was the first round of the ODAC tournament. Hampden-Sydney will travel to Salem on Friday to play in the second round of the ODAC tournament; their opponent will be Eastern Mennonite.

Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time. Abby Kelsey is home and Ray Kelsey is not doing well at this time.

Neighbors and friends are extending their sincere sympathy to those who have lost loved ones recently. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Merkle and their family on the death of his mother; Dr. and Mrs. William (Carol) Schall on the death of her mother, Ruth Stinson; and to the family of William Dickerson, Jr.

Mr. Leon Lapp was ordained as associate pastor at Calvary Chapel Farmville on Sunday, Feb. 20.

Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will fill the pulpit this Sunday.

The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.

Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
