Remember the Open Air Burn law is now enforced. NO open door burning before 4 p.m. or after midnight, when the wind is blowing – NO out door burning at all.
Mrs. Flora Bolt joined Mr. and Mrs. Steve (Terri) Bolt, their granddaughters Haley and Payden, Sgt. and Mrs. David (Ashley) Paquette, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Polly) Mottley for lunch on Sunday at Perini's. They were celebrating the birthdays of Steve Bolt and Ashley Paquette. Their birthday is Feb. 10.
Mrs. Flora Bolt visited Mrs. Edna Woodson at Trinity Missions on Valentine's Day. William Woodson also came to visit his wife. She is doing very well.
The men of Glenn Memorial prepared a Valentine dinner on Sunday night for the ladies. The ladies enjoyed the meal as well as all the Valentine decorations.
Mrs. Betty Meadows and her sister, Mrs. Evelyn Trinkle traveled to Lynchburg on Saturday where they visited the Ryan family after which they went shopping in Lynchburg and Appomattox.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Stockton along with Mrs. Becky Goin attended the 90th birthday party for their aunt, Mrs. Rachel Abernathy Paulson Pearson, on Saturday in Lawrenceville. The party was hosted by Mrs. Pearson's nieces on the Paulson side of the family. There were about 25 present
Family, friends and neighbors are sending special get well wishes to all those who are sick at this time: Abby Kelsey is at MCV, Ray Kelsey who is not doing well at this time, Betty Noblin and Shirley Fulcher who have bad colds, Ralph Haga who is out of the hospital and at the Woodlands, Lee Coleman, and Bobbie Leatherwood.
Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invites everyone to Sunday School at 10 a.m. with worship at 11a.m. The Rev. Chuck Klotzberger will fill the pulpit this Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday; Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. The Rev. William “Bill” Clark will fill the pulpit this Sunday.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Calvary Chapel-Farmville is located at 45 Simpson Road in Prospect, two miles west of Dowdy's Corner just off of US 460.
