LEXINGTON, Jan. 6 – Glenden Elizabeth Armstrong Scott passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Heritage Hall in Lexington, where she had resided for the last ten years. She was born April 11, 1915 to the late Howard Armstrong and Ida Mae Morris Armstrong in Collierstown. She and her late husband, Wade Neal Scott, resided in Clifton Forge for many years prior to his death in 1984.

Her son, Dr. Kenneth Neal Scott, predeceased her in 2007. She was predeceased by siblings, Eugene Armstrong, Goldie Johnson, Ashley Lucas and William Armstrong.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Marvin Wade Scott and wife, Lee of Farmville; daughter- in-law, Janet Scott of Lexington; grandchildren, Kathryn Page Scott Geske of Twin Falls, ID; Anne Elizabeth Scott Meehan and husband, Kevin of Lake Mary, FL; and John Neal Scott of Lexington; five great-grandchildren; sister, Coreta Agnor, (formerly of Fairfield) Lynchburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 7, at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Hastings officiating.
