Ruth B. Branch, 87

BUCKINGHAM, Dec. 7 – Ruth B. Branch, 87, of Buckingham, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born on March 19, 1923 in Buckingham County and was the daughter of the late Percy Watkins Branch and Mamie Hackett Branch. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kelly W. Branch.

Mrs. Branch was a friend to many and loved to do for others. She treasured her family and her church. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard with her flowers and cooking those special Sunday dinners for her family. She was a loving, wonderful, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family whom she adored. She will be missed by many but will remain in our hearts forever.

She leaves behind four children, Jane B. Beasley and husband, T.C. of Troutville, Dale B. Ragland and husband, Gene “Frog”, of Buckingham, Joan B. Staton and husband, Garland of Dillwyn, and Kelly W. Branch Jr. “Bucky” of Charlottes-ville; brother, Kenneth W. Branch and wife, Becky of Little Rock, AR; five grandchildren, Cal Beasley of Charlottesville, Kelly Beasley of Troutville, Leslie Ruth Ragland Morris and husband, Brandon and Brian Staton all of Buckingham; Lind-say Staton of Charlottesville; and a great-granddaughter, Morgan Gray Morris.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 5 at Mulberry Grove Baptist Church with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mulberry Grove Baptist or the Buckingham County Rescue Squad.
