DECEMBER 14 – Hazel Mae Baldwin Power passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Richmond. She was born January 28, 1915 in Prince Edward County to James E. Baldwin, Sr. and Mattie Frances East Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Leslie Power; brothers, James E. Baldwin Jr. and Harry W. Baldwin Sr., and nephew, James B. Baldwin.
She is survived by nieces, Shirley B. Barnes of Richmond, Barbara B. Gunter of Amelia, Sharon B. Mullineaux of Richmond, and Gloria B. Ferguson of Farmville; and her nephews, Lloyd W. Baldwin of Amelia, Harry W. Baldwin Jr. of Richmond, and Thomas L. Baldwin of Clarksville.
Mrs. Power was a longtime member of the Tuggle Garden Club and was an avid animal lover. She will be remembered as a vibrant and lovely lady who was deeply cherished by family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 15, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home in Farmville. Family will receive friends prior to the service from1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
