November 11 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out this week to: Austin Williams, of Buckingham, celebrating on Friday, Nov. 12, Frankie Branham, of Cumberland, and Rebecca Moore, of Brookview Lodge in Farmville, celebrating on Sunday, November 13, and Anna Butler, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Thursday, Nov. 17.
Special happy belated anniversary wishes go out to Terry and Ann Sprouse of Buckingham. They celebrated on Nov. 9.
Get well wishes and prayers go out this week to Linda Shifflet of Dillwyn.
Ralph and Fern Dunnavant, of Dillwyn, attended the Urbanna Oyster Festival in Middlesex County – along the Rappahannock River – last weekend.
Our prayers and thoughts go out this week to all those who are sick and shut-in.
Tom Snead, of Glenn Allen, along with is daughter, Cheryl Miles (of Richmond) attended the annual Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association's Thanksgiving Banquet held Nov. 6 at the VFW Hall in Buckingham. They enjoyed meeting old friends and making new ones.

The Powhatan Junior Woman's Club will host their ninth annual Holiday Gift Craft Show on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. til 4 p.m. at Powhatan United Methodist Church, located on Rosson Road in Powhatan. Over thirty vendors and crafters will be attending this event. Admission is fifty cents per person. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, lots of great food and baked goods on sale.
A benefit bluegrass gospel sing will be held Nov. 13 at the Buckingham County Middle School beginning at 6 p.m. Debbie Trent, a Cumberland County resident, has medical issues and has no insurance. There will also be hotdogs, chips drinks and baked goods on sale. There is no admission charge but a love offering will be received.
