On Saturday Oct. 30 the Prince Edward H. S. had the honor of hosting the Southside District Drama Competition. I can not begin to tell everyone how impressive this competition was. The many hours of hard work and dedication that the teachers and students put into their respective play really showed up. The Drama Team for Prince Edward won the competition and Powhatan came in second.

The members of the Drama team are: Carter Chassey, Waldell Goode, Kat Lewis, Geoff Archer, Malcolm Vaughan, Zack Fenton, Nicole Hayes, Kathryn Dimaano, Karol Crisostomo, Alicia Moseley, Dylan Abrams, Kendra Watkins, Maurice Davis-Taylor, Conner Watson, Erin Gansert, Brooks Rice, Becky Breckinridge, Xavier Harrison, Victoria Carter, Kaliena Dimaano, Jae Edwards, Cassie Badger, Lauren Morgan, and Whitaker Reed. Ms. Debbie Rush directed the play entitled “The Elephant's Graveyard” with support from Ms. Metro and others. The Drama team will compete in Williamsburg on Nov 13th for the Regional Title.

To everybody that has anything to do with the Drama Department and the hosting of this event at our high school I say, Thank You. The event was superb, from the cleanness of the auditorium to the food that was served by the Drama Momas while waiting on the judge's decision.

Congratulations on the production of a great play Prince Edward Drama Team and good luck in Williamsburg.
