Tom Perriello. What is this election really about? It's about a cog in a wheel of the machine that is driving this country into a state of European Socialism. I have met Perriello, and personally I think he is a nice guy. My heartburn with Perriello is that he supports a staunch liberal, entrenched in socialistic ideologies, Nancy Pelosi – with a passion normally reserved for lurid dime novels – while she exhibits this same blind loyalty to Obama, who is driving this runaway express train to the pits of oblivion. Due to the failed policies of Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Perriello, every child born today in the U.S. starts life $43,000 in debt, with unemployment hovering at 10%, and about a 20% chance that one or both parents are either unemployed or working part time.

According to Tom Perriello's office, he is staunchly opposed to extending the Bush tax cuts to the top 2% of wage earners, who create the majority of jobs in this country. Does that sound moderate? Once again, it's that impassioned loyalty to Pelosi. I have never understood the Democratic Party's view of taxing the rich to death. Republicans: “Let the job producers have that extra money to keep on creating those jobs.” Democrats: “Let's forget the job creation – take all of their money – that they would have used to expand those businesses and hire more Americans – and hand it out in welfare and unemployment lines.” That, my friend, is, in a nutshell, the clear-cut distinction between the two parties. They believe that, for whatever reason, rich folks stuff that money into a gunny sack and bury it behind the barn. If any Democrat reading these lines has ever had a paycheck signed by a poor person, please let me know. I want to actually hear those words coming from the lips of someone with a straight face. Drowning business owners in a sea of tax debt during this recession makes “far less sense” than a self proclaimed “moderate” like Perriello following Obama and Pelosi over the proverbial cliff of doom; but that's exactly what Tom is doing. Health care, Cap and Trade – which will skyrocket your taxes and energy bills beyond your wildest dreams, not to mention shipping American jobs overseas by the millions – failure to secure our borders from terrorist and drug lords, while castigating Arizona, and prosecuting their law enforcement officers for defending their citizens, back-door deals with the U.N. to take your guns, snubbing Israel- our most important ally in the war- tom Middle East, and this just explores the tip of the iceberg. It's one gigantic blunder after another from this administration, and our Tom is voting over 90% of the time with it.

Wake up folks! It's all about where we're headed, and not where we've been. I lived in Europe for three years of my Army career. Believe me – you do not want that! And speaking of my military career – There is a great misconception that Perriello is a Veteran's best friend. Make no mistake – anyone who will follow zealots of socialism, will, in the long run prove to be no friend to the millions of men and women who have sacrificed all, or part of their lives defending our great Constitution over the last 235 years That's the Constitution written by our Founding Fathers – and not written by fervid students of Karl Marx and Saul Alynski – Obama, Reid, and Pelosi, of which Tom Perriello is an ardent devotee to; and his record clearly reveals where his loyalties lie. It's a simple chain – of – command, Obama commands Pelosi, and Pelosi twist Perriello's arm. Done deal!

Gun owners, did you know that more than 97% of all legislation designed to strip your right to own firearms over the last 45 years was introduced by the Democratic Party. Do you really want to trust your Second Amendment rights to a legislator with his arm twisted behind his back by Pelosi? Don't be fooled by the ludicrous decision of the NRA to endorse the liberal Perriello-Pelosi team over a true conservative, and friend of the gun owner, Robert Hurt. Have no grand illusions, this is the same NRA that refuses to publicly criticize two more Obama disciples – Webb and Warner – who voted to confirm not one, but two anti-gun fanatics (Sotomayor and Kagin) to the Supreme Court of the U.S.- over the screams of protest by thousands of Virginia gun owners. Finally, the television, radio, and written ads attacking Hurt are nothing more than cheap, diversionary tactics – a deceptive ruse – fabricated to take your mind off the real issues, and severity of this election. Please, don't take my word for the facts conveyed in this letter. Do your own research, and you will make the right decision in the booth on the second of November. I ask all Veterans and gun owners to band together to stop this Obama, Pelosi – Perriello Socialist machine – and vote for Senator Robert Hurt.
