September 30 – Happy Birthday wishes are sent out to: Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, celebrating on Saturday, October 2, and Gladys Banton, of Scottsville, celebrating on Tuesday, October 5.

Our prayers and thoughts go out this week to all those who are sick and shut-in everywhere.

Elizabeth Stone, of Dillwyn, spent several days with her daughter, Denise Anderson, in Colonial Beach last week.

The R.L. Seay Jr. family reunion was held on Sunday, September 26. A nice crowd attended and enjoyed great food, fun and fellowship.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, Tom Snead, of Glen Allen, and his two daughters, Karen Agnew and Cheryl Miles, both of Richmond, all enjoyed a fabulous evening together at Dillwyn Restaurant on Friday, September 25.

Note: The 38th Annual Appomattox Historical Railroad Festival will be held on Saturday, October 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, October 10 from noon to 5 p.m.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association, a non-profit organization, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 6 at 5 p.m. at Cedar Baptist Church, located on State Route 650 (Trents Mill Rd.) in Dillwyn. All members are asked to attend and bring a covered dish for supper. Note: Coffee and tea will be donated.
