“Tim” Coleman. 72 Of Prospect, Dies Friday

PROSPECT, Oct. 12 -A funeral service for Thomas Timothy “Tim” Coleman, 72, of Prospect, was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home. Interment was private at the Coleman family cemetery at Cedar Hill Farm. Mr. Coleman died Friday, October 8, 2004, in Farmville.
Mr. Coleman was born April 3, 1932, in Prince Edward County, a son of the late Lloyd Morton and Kate Elizabeth Glenn Coleman. He worked as a farmer and a mail carrier. Thomas gave his sister. Iris Ferguson, a kidney 33 years ago; Iris would like to acknowledge this.
He is survived by his sisters, Janie C. Simpson of Farmville, Rachel C. Phaup of Richmond, Iris C. Ferguson of Farmville, Alice C. Watson of Annapolis, MD, Katrena C. Young of Prospect, and Celia C. Young of Farmville; his brothers, Joel W. Coleman of Wallace, NC, and Frank N. Coleman of Prospect. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Melvin B. and Lloyd G. Coleman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Volunteer Fire Department or to the Glenn Memorial Baptist Church.
