Service To Be Held January 30 For Anna Belle Eason, 88

ROANOKE, Jan. 14 – Anna Belle Brown Eason, 88, of Roanoke and formerly of Orange, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 after a short illness.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, W. Robert Eason; her children, W. Robert Eason Jr., Susan Eason Anthony, and Sarah Belle Eason Parrott; sons-in-law, Larry Houston Anthony and John C. Parrott II; grandchildren, Eric Houston Anthony and wife, Sheila, Sarah Boxley Parrott Beck and husband, Carl E. Beck III, and John C. Parrott III; great-grandson, Kyle Houston Anthony, and cousin, Helen Reames Barnes. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Edward Brown and Sue Webb Brown, a sister, Jeanne Ruffin Brown, and a brother, Charles Edward Brown Jr., all of Petersburg.
Mrs. Eason was an avid flower arranger and a member of the Dolly Madison Garden Club of Orange. She was also a member of the Nancy Christian Fleming Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Roanoke. She was a member of the Orange Presbyterian Church and College Church, Hampden-Sydney.
Services will be conducted at noon Saturday, January 30, at College Church, Hampden-Sydney, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hampden-Sydney Office of Advancement, PO Box 637, Hampden-Sydney, VA 23943 for the benefit of the Eason Family Scholarship.
