CUMBERLAND, Sept. 21 -Roy Ashley Watson, Sr., 79, of Cumberland, died Monday, September 20, 2004.

He was born March 22, 1925 in Gatlinburg, TN, a son of the late Ashley Watson and Grace Ownby Watson Bryan. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eula Watson Ownby and a brother, Alien Watson.

Mr. Watson was a beef and chicken producer. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Roy Ashley Watson, Jr. and wife, Marilyn of Cumberland; a brother, Ray Watson of Cumberland; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kristine Watson of Cumberland and two step-grandsons, Benjamin Fulcher of Prospect and Jacob Fulcher. of Cumberland,

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dlllwyn.
