RICE, Oct. 19 – Lucille Simpson Campbell, 72, of Rice, died Friday, October 15, 2004 in Richmond.
She was born November 10, 1931 in Prince Edward County, a daughter of the late Wlllie and Bessie Ann Atkins Simpson. She was a member of the Farmvllle Moose Club and a retired secretary of WFLO Radio Station after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her children, Donnie Campbell and his wife, Denise of Rice, John Alien (Peter) Campbell, III and his wife, Linda of Burkeville. LouAnn Farrar and her husband, Bobby of Amelia and Lynne Campbell of Rice; her brothers, Howard Simpson and his wife, Joan of Farmville, Charles Simpson and his wife, Anne and James Simpson and his wife, Phyllis both of Blackstone, Harry Simpson and his wife, Suzanne of Jackson Springs, NC and Clarence Simpson and his wife, June also of Blackstone; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wlllie L. Simpson, Jr.
A funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with Interment In Trinity Memorial Gardens,
