KEYSVILLE, Dec. 4 – Lewis Samuel Perkins, 94, of Keysville, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Farmville. He was the husband of the late Perley P. Perkins.

Born in Danville, July 13, 1914, he was the son of the late Daniel and Annie Brown Perkins. He was a farmer. In addition to his wife and parents, a daughter, Deloris P. Newcomb, preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Larry S. Perkins Sr. and wife, Joanne of Keysville; daughter, Betty P. Bowman of Keysville; nephew, James H. Perkins of Powhatan; five grandchildren, Larry Samuel Perkins Jr., Richard Anthony Perkins, Gregory L. Bowman, Tony N. Murray and Barry G. Newcomb; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 5, at Trinity Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home.
